Lower- or sub-tidal around the coast, though less so on E coast;leaves c.4-10 mm wide (compared with the smaller Z. noltei in background)

Inter-tidal only but rather uncommon and scattered around the coast of BI; lvs c.1 mm wide, seeds smooth (pic 1)

Another scattered Zostera sp. is Z. angustifolia which also rather narrow lvd and ribbed seeds (cf. Z. noltei)
